by 11 PLUS MATH CSSE (WEDNESDAY)
SALIENT FEATURES: Weekly online 2 hours session for 11 plus, which will consists of year 5/6 national curriculum of Maths lesson on every Wednesday at 5 pm for 90 min session. Extra work will be provided for practice and self marking.We provide tutoring for various exam styles including 11 Plus CEM (Centre of Evaluation and monitoring), GL assessment and for 11-Plus and CSSE Essex examinations. The content and syllabus for this course is designed to help students develop the skills, speed, and confidence needed to intercept examination papers under time limitations. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Assessment will be taken to ensure the suitability to the course as it can be very intensive at times.Hence the child must be familiar with all the basic mathematical operations and fundamentals of math. Strong practice and application of times table from 1-12 is vital along with some mental arithmatic suitable upto year 4. This 11 Plus course prepares students for 11+ examinations for Kent, Essex and the course duration is 1.5 hours per week ongoing.

Starting Syllabus
We focus on revising basic maths skills appropriate to Key Stage 2 and some of the Key Stage 3 curriculum . During this course we focus on more challenging topics which children find difficult such as HCF & LCM, Prime factorisation, Venn diagrams, Graphs and charts, Statistics, fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages, money, time, imperial and metric measurements, shapes, unitary method, cubes and nets, area and volume, magic squares, algebra, Speed/distance/time, Long division and multiplication, Decimal division, Sequences, Function Machine etc.We also cover worded problems and logic based problems resulting in development of their critical skills. After every lesson we provide the following Class notes in the form of pdf.( hand written work explained on whiteboard by the teacher) Homework with mark scheme for self- marking . Practice of Past paper exam questions based on the topic within the lesson.
